Strategies for Trauma and Neurodivercity

Project type

Parent-Teacher Manual

Date

21 May 2026

Location

Lethbridge, Alberta

This manual is a professional teaching resource for educators and caregivers working with children and youth who have experienced trauma or have ADHD. It covers three core areas: understanding what trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are and how they affect development; practical self-care and sustainability strategies for the adults doing this work; and age-specific, trauma-informed strategies for supporting kids with ADHD across the 7–18 age range. The underlying message throughout is that behaviour is communication, and that regulation (feeling safe) always comes before expectation.

💛 Why Sharing Matters

When people see kindness happening,
they’re more likely to join in.

Your story helps the ripple grow.
